DON’T MISS OUT

DON’T MISS OUT!

Register immediately for one of the last spaces* for “The Filmmaking Collaboration – Storytelling Within the Mis-en-scène.” with Bob Moss. Learn how filmmakers work to convey the film’s story within the screen images.

“The better you collaborate, the greater your chance for a successful film. That’s because, at its highest order, filmmaking collaboration occurs between various teams and departments to make a vision a reality. The goal is to work cohesively and work as a unit to boil down all the floating ideas, opinions, and possibilities into one central message,”

The actor Michael Keaton once put it fittingly, “Filmmaking is the ultimate team sport.”

The films to be studied has been revised. Each provides many fantastic image examples to discuss:
The Last Emperor (Italy); Do the Right Thing (U.S.A.); Fanny and Alexander (Sweden); Portrait of a Lady on Fire (France); The Quiet Girl (Ireland)

Among the collaborators whose work we will focus our discussions upon will be
* Production Designer * Cinematographer * Gaffer (Lighting) * Costume Designer * Art Designer *Set Designer * Film Editor. What is each of their roles in storytelling?

Improve your understanding and appreciation of the art. Get better enjoyment from your viewing.
